URGENT APPOINTMENTS

If you are concerned that your patient may have an urgent condition (such as an acute urological condition or urological cancer), Dr Winter will make himself available to see your patient within 72 hours. Please mark the referral to Dr Winter as URGENT.

Please see below a list of suggested conditions that should have ‘URGENT’ marked on the referral.

SUGGESTED CONDITIONS FOR URGENT REFERRAL

• Acute urinary retention (complete inability to void)

• Painful kidney stones

• Gross haematuria (blood in the urine)

• Mass/cancer in the bladder, prostate, kidney, testis or adrenal glands
